VX One FAQsÂ
How many people can sail the VX One?
The VX One is designed for 2-3 sailors, offering flexibility for racing and social sailing.
What makes the VX One different from other sportsboats?
It combines high-performance, one-design fairness, asymmetric gennaker thrills, and low maintenance in a class with an international community and world championship events.
Is the VX One easy to transport and launch?
Yes! It includes a well balanced aluminum trolley which means it can be launched from the beach. The boat can also be craned in.
Can I use sails from any sailmaker?
Absolutely. Any sailmaker may build VX One sails, provided they do so using the class rules.
Is the VX One suitable for non-racers?
Definitely. It’s stable, forgiving, and fun for casual sailing as well as competitive racing.
What gives the VX One its stability?
The hybrid lifting keel gives extra stabaility along with its wide, shallow and open cockpit. These features make the boat easy to handle, be it in race mode or as a fun day-sailor.
What colour options are available?
The boats are all the same colour – white.
What can be customised?
The boats are all built to a strict One Design rule. This restricts what can be changed, although there is the ability to personalize the non-skid arrangement on the boat.
