Owen Mackay
Director
Building composite boats since 1983, Owen is a specialist in composite boatbuilding and moulding techniques, with deep expertise in close-mould infusion processes used to produce high-performance foils. A former P Class sailor, he has been connected to the sea ever since. Owen supported the New Zealand Olympic team in 1984 as a boatbuilder and has managed multiple New Zealand surfboat teams competing internationally. He understands what high-performance programs demand, on-the-water and in the build.

John Clinton
Director
John oversees the general running of the company. His background started out as a sail designer, then Sail Program manager for a number of Americas Cup campaigns, also setting up his own North Sails One Design. John also coached the NZL 470 sailors for the 1996 & 2000 Olympics. A highlight was coaching the winning 470 team at the 2002 World Champions. John designed the FX women’s Olympic rig and worked with Brian Bennett to develop the VX One rig. He is on the Executive for both the 49er, 29er classes and VX One classes.

Dave McDiarmid
Director
David leads our assembly and fit-out team, developing many of the custom details and onboard systems featured on the Mackay Bieker Moth and foils, 470, 420 and Parable. A highly accomplished skiff sailor, Dave won the 2017 18ft Skiff World Championship and the coveted JJ Giltinan Trophy in 2018 and 2019. David also campaigned in the 49er.  On weekends, he is often out on the Auckland Harbour fishing with family or wing foiling.
