The Spreader Rake Adjustor
One of the VX Two’s standout features is the Spreader Rake Adjustor© (SRA). Traditionally, double-handed racing meant finding a teammate who matched a strict weight range—limiting who you could sail with and how competitive you could be. The VX Two changes that.
With the SRA, you can tune your rig to fit a wide range of crew weights. The SRA allows you to adjust the angle of the carbon spreaders to create different mast bends and power settings to match your sails and sailing style.
To change the angle, the spreader is removed from the mast and a SRA chock is attached onto the spreader arm tang.
The Spreader Rake Adjustor comes with three different SRA chocks. Each chock creates either a + or – angled position. Teams can make their own custom chocks to fine tune further if needed.
- Five rake angle options: Comes with three SRA chocks, offering up to 12.8° of adjustment.
- Customizable: Make your own chocks if you want even more fine-tuning.
- Simple process: Remove the spreader from the mast, swap the SRA chock, and you’re ready to go.
Sail How You Like, With Who You Want
In the VX Two, you’re not locked into a single sailmaker or a narrow weight window. The class rules allow measurement-controlled sails, so you can choose any sailmaker and have your sails tailored for your crew and your style. The SRA works hand-in-hand with this flexibility, letting teams and sailmakers optimize for different conditions and preferences.
- Personalized sails: Cut to suit your weight and style.
- Optimized tuning: Use the SRA to match mast bend to your sails for maximum performance.
- Adaptable setup: Find your go-to setting or fine-tune for the day’s conditions.
