FAQ: How We Process & Ship Your Boat

What happens when I submit the order?

Once we receive your order enquiry from the cart, we will review the order and reply to you with a quote that includes shipping costs and all available payment options. Please press ‘submit boat configuration’ to go through to the cart page to fill out all your details and activate the order enquiry.

When do I pay?

Payment is required after you receive our quote and you are happy to proceed. To confirm the order you will need to send full payment for parts or a 25% deposit for a boat package once you have received the invoice.

For credit card payments over USD1000 there is a 2.5% surcharge.

Our bank details for payments will be on the invoice that we send you.

Please read or download our terms and conditions.

Will there be taxes or duty on my boat and parts?

Each country has different rules for taxes on imported goods. You will be required to pay these when your boat enters your country. If you first receive and sail the boat in a different country, then check with a customs agent to ensure you import it at the lowest possible cost. Please contact us if you have questions.

How is the boat shipped from New Zealand?

We are shipping boats to different parts of the world most weeks.  Most times we are able to ship boats together to a common destination to keep shipping costs as low as possible. This works best when your boats is shipped to a major regatta where others will also be wanting their new boat sent to.

How long does it take to get a new boat?

Delivery times vary depending on the time of year, and of course, shipping time to where you want the boat delivered. It typically takes 2-3 months for you to receive your boat in Europe or America after you have confirmed your order.

Fully Optimised for Fast Sailing

Optimised Hull Shape for Pumping

M10’s increased volume in both the bow and stern provides greater stability and balance to better suit more aggressive downwind and upwind sailing. The midsection retains the proven, efficient lines of Mackay’s previous 470s, ensuring familiar handling and speed.

Optimised deck and cockpit

M10’s deck has been redesigned and the cockpit is now wider; with the gunwales higher amidships. Improved foredeck aerodynamics also help reduce drag and enhance speed.

Fairer, Faster Bow

M10’s refined bow contributes to a fairer, cleaner hull shape to help the boat slice through waves with less resistance, especially important when the boat is driven hard by crews.

Maximum Dimensions for Maximum Performance

Built to the absolute maximum waterline length and deck width allowed. The M10’s maximum deck width extends further aft, enabling the skipper to contribute even more to righting moment, critical when driving the boat with powerful body movements.
